Connect your source VCR out to TV IN using either normal RCA cable or coaxial cable. Connect Audio-Video OUT on your TV to the recording VCR IN (normally these are RCA jacks). However, you may use any type of adapters you need. Usually you need to turn the TV speakers OFF - this activates the Audio OUT of the TV. You won't hear anything while recording. Increase your TV volume to more than 50% of the scale on your screen. Picture and audio quality are good without spending any money.
Replay to test audio quality, if sound is faint, increase your TV volume further, keeping your speakers off.
If you have a Audio/Video receiver, you may use splitters on the audio output to connect one to recording VCR and the other to the speakers, so you can record and listen at the same time.
How it works - Signal from the source VCR is stabilized by the TV and is then sent to the TVOUT. This stabilized signal can be recorded by any VCR
